The Orioles have really broken through the last couple days. After being offensively anemic for the better part of 10 days, it’s nice to see them scoring runs again. Collectively they scored 19 runs over the last three games against the Padres which was good for two wins and a series win. Getting a good [...]

Nick Christy is an Asshole.
It takes a real asshole to try and make money off someone else’s emotional duress. But this is what Nick Christy does everyday. His firesamperlozzo.com website, which I thought was misguided from the beginning, sells all sorts of firesamperlozzo goodies. T-Shirts with a terrible eye-killing design? Check. A thong that [...]

Sounds of Summer
At least it’s something to pay attention to. We can tune in to the 2007 edition of The Oriole Way Woe just a little longer before we divert our attention to Ravens Training Camp. In a move that surprised no one, Orioles’ brass designated skipper Sam Perlozzo the scapegoat and sent him home. [...]

Meet Dave Trembley:
Hi Dave. You’re inheriting a team of underachievers, complainers, and hard workers. Confusing, isn’t it? Here’s a couple tips for making it through your interim stint without having your car egged:
- Run out this lineup. EVERYDAY!
1. Roberts 2B
2. Payton CF
3. Markakis RF
4. Tejada SS
5. Huff DH
6. Millar 1B
7. Mora 3B
8. Hernandez C
9. Gibbons LF

Perlozzo Out
ESPN.com and The Baltimore Sun is reporting this morning that Sam Perlozzo is being fired and is being replaced by bullpen coach Dave Trembley. Trembley will replace Perlozzo on a interim basis until a full-time replacement is found.
This move should come as a shock to no one. Perlozzo was always a hometown favorite, a nice [...]

Rockie Mountain BLARGHHHHH!
Extra, extra – read ALLLLLL about it! The O’s dropped two out of three to the Rockies this past weekend. What’s worse than blowing late inning leads? Outplaying the competition and STILL getting smoked. See Sunday’s 6 – 1 loss at the hands of one Ryan Spilborghs for more details. Luckily for us, the Nationals [...]

Thank You
I just wanted to give a thank you to everyone who reads, checks out, and supports this blog. I’m admittedly not the greatest writer in the world but I think I do a pretty good job talking stats, players, outcomes, and issues with our Birds. Hopefully I capture a little piece of [...]

Keeters – it’s Wieters
Keeters is an incredible word. It’s useful today because it also serves as a phonetically convenient way to introduce you to the Orioles #1 draft pick for 2007 – Matt Wieters.
Hi Matt. Welcome to the O’s. There’s a few things you should know before we go toe to toe with Scott Boras. [...]

O’s 2007 Draft Preview
You know what’s cool? When big organizations read your mind. Every year America has to withstand being beaten unmercifully with the NFL Draft. I think ESPN starts talking about it in January. It might go on for five days, I’m not sure. Either way, it sucks. Now – what’s [...]

Perhaps we’ve met before?
Hi devastating loss, I’m Brian. Have we met?
Another game, another difficult loss. Today’s 4-3 meltdown was a quick and easy loss. It took Chris Ray all of 30 seconds to give up a single to Chone Figgins and then a walk-off HR to Vlad Guerrero. To that, my father sent me this [...]
